Unfortunately, it didn’t work for me, but might for you This checks for missing or corrupted files and when I ran it, the infamous Direct X showed up. When you’re within Settings, click on GTA V and then try the Verify Integrity option. Might work: within the Rockstar launcher there is a Settings menu (top right).Navigate to it via Program Files > Rockstar Games > GTA V > Redistributibles > Direct X and then click on DXSETUP to update Direct X You essentially need to run the Direct X setup again. Works for others: this one seems to work for a number of people given the comments online.I finally found this solution as I noticed that Google Chrome had no sound either and that was where I noticed this fix.
Check if the sound is muted and if so, unmute. GTA V needs to be running or it won’t appear. So, I’ll start with the fix that worked for me and then list some of the other solutions for no sound that I researched:
